Shoes Shoes Shoes
I love them, you love them, we all love them. Sometimes we just don’t know where to put that ever-growing collection! That’s what I'm here to help you with. Depending on your space we’ll make sure to find the right organization method for you.
Method 1:
Let’s talk about floor space. Now there are a couple different options here so let’s get right into it. Drop front shoe boxes, they are an absolute favorite for my client’s. Not only does it keep your shoes contained, clean and organized but they allow you to show off that collection of yours which we are all about.
Another great way to utilize your floor space is the classic shoe rack. Check out this great shoe rack from Pattern Brands. Not only is it a great piece to keep your shoes but it's also aesthetically beautiful to look at. Whether it's in your closet or at your entry way door this is definitely a statement piece.
Method 2:
Lacking floor space? Don't worry we got you covered. Another convenient way to store your shoes is with a shoe rack hung over your closet door. People often forget that your door can be used for storage and lots of it!
Method 3:
Last but not least for those of you who have the wall space I will always recommend a shoe wall. If you have a built-in shelving in your closet you're ready to go. For those of you who dont you can buy long shelves from amazon with a huge selection to choose from!
When it comes to placement always keep your most used shoes available in reach. For the seasonal shoe like rain boots and ski boots place those on top as you're not gravitating towards those as regular as sneakers or your favorite booties. In regards to color coordination it's the same as clothes. If you need a quick reminder of our rule of thumb we have a whole article dedicated to color coordination. Read it by clicking below!
I hope you have fun with your shoe journey and don't forget to tag @Organize_It on instagram with your finished results. Cannot wait to see what you guys come up with.
